If you're looking for pre-knitted fabric to felt or,
if you would like knitted felt to work with, and require some large swathes,
inquire about our custom knitting for felt services! Either plain or
patterned felt can be produced, working with fingering, sport or worsted weight
yarns. From there, your fabric may be cut and sewn and further
embellished for your finished products.
Denise Interchangeable Crochet Hook Sets
You're probably already familiar with the Denise Interchangeable Knitting
Needle sets: Denise has produced a set of Interchangeable Crochet Hooks! (and
these interchange with the knitting needles...hmmmm.)
Tunisian crochet is only the beginning of the crochet possibilities! (now
much wider panels may be crocheted without the wrist strain!)
For those of you
who only Crochet: You’re now be able to knit with this set never having
learned to knit in the first place! Come in and see the store
demonstration of
this technique.
The vision is that there will be so many new, fun groups formed as well as
classes, patterns, and soon, a couple books, generated by this great new hook
set.
The set features hooks from 3.75 mm to 19 mm, several cables, cable joins,
and end caps. You can hang many more stitches than on conventional afghan hooks,
and change hook sizes mid-row, crochet, knit, crochet in the same row, make
effortless crochet insertions, edges, and other embellishments.
You can combine: interchange your existing Denise knitting needles and the
new hooks and work Darla Fanton crochet techniques, cro-knit, double-ended
crochet, and much, much more.

Free Knit Pattern
Wonderful "One Stitch" Scarf
Materials: 1 ball of Mesh Ribbon Yarn. Ice Yarns' "Salsa" is
used in our sample.
Needles: Size US 5, 6, 7, or 8 knitting needles.
Finished Measurements: 4" diameter x approx. 60".
Note: When working with this yarn, spread out the mesh and work
stitches with outer loops along the thin side of the yarn, not the wide,
or decorative side of the yarn.
Directions:
Cast On: Inserting needle from back to front, hang six loops
onto the right needle. Turn.
All Rows: Insert right needle into all six loops as if to purl, hang
six loops from mesh yarn onto needle, purl 6 loops together as one
stitch.
Finishing: Bind off all loops on needle and in last stitch loop, pull
entire strand of mesh yarn through. (Leave at least 6 inches for weaving
in.) You may wish to secure the yarn by sewing a few stitches with
needle and thread to prevent it from unraveling. Another technique
is to split the mesh in halves, and pull through one half, and securing
the two parts by weaving each end separately.

Free Crochet Pattern
"880" Muffler in Tunisian Crochet
Materials: 2 balls of Chunky Weight Yarn. Patons' Shetland
Chunky Tweed was used in the sample.
Size W (or 20 mm) Afghan Crochet Hook.
Finished Measurements: 8" x 80" before fringe.
Directions: Chain 12.
Row 1: (Right to Left): Picking from 2nd ch from hook, pick up loop
over each ch st (11 sts). Do not turn. (Left to Right): Ch 1, yoh, draw
yarn through two loops on hook, yoh draw yarn through 2 loops on hook,
across. (11 Tunisian crochet completed.)
Next and Remaining Rows: Work as for Row 1 until muffler is desired
length, leaving 4-5 yards of yarn for fringe, or more for tassels.
Last Row: Afghan Stitch Bind Off: Pick up loop for next stitch, yoh,
draw yarn through two loops on hook (1 st bound off). Work across. Ch 1,
and fasten off.
Finishing: Make fringe or tassels. Weave in any ends.
